Lord, help us to live in the light of Your
revelation of Yourself, for the unveiling of Jesus Christ demands that we
worship You, watch for Your return, and warn the lost of coming judgment.
“I am he that liveth, and was dead;
and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of
death” (Revelation 1:18).
Let us serve You Lord Jesus with love,
perseverance, and purity, for You know
what is good and what is bad in each local church and what each church must do
to please You.
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy
first love”(Rev. 2:4).
Lord Jesus, as head of the church, You
discern, judge, and support each local church.
Let us serve You faithfully and zealously.
“Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).
Worshiping You is the believer’s
natural reaction to Your majesty, character, and power. Let us worship You in all sincerity.
“Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is
the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength,
and honour, and glory, and blessing” (Revelation 5:12).
We rejoice in Christ our Lamb and
Shepherd, the Savior of the redeemed, while still realizing that Christ, is the
Lion of Judah, who judges the ungodly.
“For the Lamb which is in the midst of
the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of
waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Rev.7:17).
God’s judgments are certain, severe,
and appropriate for righteousness to be vindicated. This is why we trumpet the gospel to the
lost.
“But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath
prepared his throne for judgment. And he shall judge the world in
righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness” (Psalm 9:7, 8).
We know that praise to God is sharpened
by the contrast between good and evil.
Help us to praise You Lord for Your victory over evil.
“We give thee thanks, O Lord God
Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee
thy great power, and hast reigned” (Rev. 11:17).
Lord Jesus, even in the darkest of
days, You stand as our sovereign, let our hope be in You in these dark times.
“I
heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die
in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from
their labours; and their works do follow them” (Revelation 14:13).
Your wrath is based on Your righteous
character, let our praise to God be for Your righteousness.
“And they sing the song of Moses the
servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy
works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints”
(Revelation 15:3).
Lord, help us to consider the sureness
of Your judgment, knowing when You decide, that is the time for judgment to come.
“I
heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord
God omnipotent reigneth” (Rev.19:6).
Christ will return as King of Kings and
Lord of Lords, in light of this truth let us witness faithfully looking for
Your sure return.
“And he
hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS” (Revelation 19:16).
Give us a burden for the lost.
Unrepentant sin brings eternal punishment.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part
in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they
shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years” (Revelation 20:6).
Let us show that we value eternal life,
assured in our hearts that hope will be fulfilled! and Heaven will be gained at
last!!
“I heard a great voice out of heaven
saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their
God” (Revelation 21:3).
