Working together in the Body of Christ

Believers need to be team players in their local church, grateful for their salvation, and dedicated to the goal of glorifying God as a godly team member. 1Cor.1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

The Bible, God’s fully inspired and reliable Word, forms the message of our ministry and message, in It we are commanded to share the gospel from God’s reliable Word. 1Cor.2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The Lord Jesus expects believers to serve God with proper motives. 1Cor.3:9 For we are laborers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

Believers are to serve God faithfully. 1Cor.4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.

The local church should maintain a pure testimony through church discipline. 1Cor.5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

In our Christian character and family relationships we must reflect Christ in relating to believers. 1Cor.6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Knotted or not the believer must strive to honor and serve God no matter your lot in life. 1Cor.7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.

Exercise liberty within the bounds of love for others and love for God. 1Cor.10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Ture worship of God involves obedience to Him and  harmony with fellow believers. 1Cor.11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

Caution!  Use your spiritual gifts with love. 1Cor.12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

Declare God’s truth clearly and in an orderly manner to edify other believers in your service for God. 1Cor.14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Live in the hope of Christ’s resurrection for it guarantees the believers’ glorious resurrection and provides a reason to serve God wholeheartedly  with others. 1Cor.15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Every believer without exception should give faithfully and joyfully to the Lord’s work. 1Cor.16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
